A statewide push to strengthen digital skills is underway in Victoria, as demand grows for future-focused jobs across the economy.
RPP FM reports, the initiative brings together government, industry and training providers to expand pathways into digital careers, with the state expected to need more than 87,000 additional digital workers by 2035.
To meet the need, a $30 million Digital, AI and Technology Centre of Excellence will be established at Chisholm TAFE in Frankston, jointly funded by state and federal governments.
The centre is designed to support training and workforce development across Victoria and will also target greater participation from women, First Nations people, people with disability and regional communities, as industry demand continues to grow.
