1RPH Canberra 1125 AM

1RPH Canberra broadcasts information needed by people with a print disability to help overcome the disadvantage they experience in not being able to read printed material.

Broadcasting from studios located on the Barton Highway in Gunghalin, ACT, skilled volunteer readers and administrative supporters turn print into sound for people with a print disability.

VAR Melbourne 1179AM

Vision Australia Radio Melbourne broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 1179AM and on VAR digital radio, meeting the information needs of people with a print disability.

Based at Vision Australia head office in Kooyong, the station is powered by 250+ committed volunteers broadcasting over 100 hours of reading and specialist programs each week. VAR Melbourne networks programs across the seven VAR regional stations in Victoria and also shares content nationally with other stations in the RPH Australia network.

Reading Radio

Reading Radio (Formally Radio 4RPH) has been serving the community of the greater Brisbane area since 1984.

From live newspaper readings to the most popular and entertaining books and magazines, Reading Radio has everything you need to keep informed. It also provides an important education and employment pathway program for people with a vision disability. All programs produced by this community radio station are produced by a team of blind producers who embody empowerment through information.

VAR Adelaide - 5RPH 1197AM

Vision Australia Radio Adelaide delivers a reading and information service to South Australians with a print disability and plays a vital role in meeting their information needs.

Operating from its Adelaide city studios, the station relies on its 140 dedicated volunteers who give freely of their time. Each week volunteer readers, panel operators, editors and presenters deliver over 70 hours of local reading and specialists programs.

Print Radio Tasmania

We’re a community radio station that provides a reading and information service for people who find it difficult to access printed material. Hobart was the first RPH station in Australia. We began broadcasting in June 1982 and are now part of the Australia-wide RPH network.

VAR Perth

6RPH Perth has broadcast as part of the Vision Australia Radio Network since October 2015, playing a vital role in serving the information needs of Western Australians with a print disability.

Operating from its Perth city studios, the station relies on its 80 dedicated volunteers, who each week deliver over 30 hours of local reading and specialist programs.

2RPH Sydney 1224AM and 100.5FM

2RPH broadcasts from purpose-built studios in the heart of Glebe at the St. Helens Community Centre. Over 200 volunteers prepare, present and produce on-air programs. Readers and announcers do not edit what they read or make any comments, presenting the printed word as it is written. 2RPH Sydney broadcasts from 6.00 am to 11.00 pm daily and relays the BBC World service overnight.
