My name is James, and I'm one of the program coordinators at the Saints. I had the pleasure of working with Saints Play for the past three years. Saints Play is a program for children aged five to 13 years with autism, ADHD and other learning difficulties. We come to our Moorabbin and Seaford facilities and do a range of football skills so these children can build their confidence to play sport.
So we've just been doing our program down at Seaford tonight with Corey. Corey is a part of Wallara and he's been one of our coaches for the last two Saints Play programs. He's done an absolutely amazing job and tonight he was on fire, showing all the kids his biggest kicks, learning all the skills that are a part of footy. So it's been a pleasure to have Corey a part of this program, and we want to continue our partnership with Wallara and have Corey come and learn the skills of AFL, because all the kids love him.

My name's Shannon, I'm acting captain of the St Kilda AFL Blind team in the Victorian Blind Football Week. The program here we run out of Seaford is a Saints Play program, an awesome program designed for all ability kids. It's been awesome having Corey involved in the last two Saints Play sessions. The kids all love him, all the coaches love him as well and just watching him shine when he comes in and all the kids gravitate to him and he does a really good job.

My name's Corey, I've been working in St Kilda since the start. The only thing I've learnt from here is learning from all the coaches and the kids as well. So, things are just fun for everybody else and I've come into my shell for more confidence. So, yeah, that's something you should go to the new material site. There's a lot of important things, a lot of it. It's just what the kids are there for. So, you just pump them up and get ready to go and have fun and that's what they deserve.

G'day everyone, Rats here, just about to give Corey a call. He's involved with Saints Play, he's a coach, he's got some words of wisdom. We're just gonna have a chat about footy and that, but yeah, interested to hear his thoughts. Hey Corey, how are you, mate?
Speaker 3 02:17
Hey mate, how are you?
Speaker 4 02:18
Pretty good. I heard that you're involved in Saints play as a coach.
Speaker 3
Yes, I am.
Speaker 4
Can you tell me what you do?
Speaker 3 02:26
I help kids with their drills and skills and all that, so having fun, that's all it is.
Speaker 4
What's your favourite drill?
Speaker 3 02:32
Kicking for goal, mate, what about you?
Speaker 4
Probably kicking the ball's nice, isn't it? Whether you're kicking the ball to Bradley Hill or to Max King, it still feels nice to just kick the ball well, doesn't it?
Speaker 3
Yeah, that's true, yeah, hundred percent.
Speaker 4 02:43
I was thinking, because you're a coach and I'm a coach, what sort of advice have you got for me? Have you seen anything that you think, Jeezy, Rats should be doing this? Why's he doing that? He should be doing that.
Speaker 3 02:59
(LAUGHS) I've got one for you my friend. Keep on top of your drills, and keep them sharp.
Speaker 4 03:04
I like that. I might even put that up a message from Corey about how to go about it.
Speaker 3
(LAUGHS) You're welcome.
Speaker 4
Who's your favourite player from the Saints?
Speaker 3 03:14
My favorite player is Jack Sinclair, because of his mullet, because he has a rockstar's mother.
Speaker 4 03:18
I'll tell him, he'll love that.
Speaker 3 03:21
Who's your favourite player at St Kilda mate?.
Speaker 4 03:21
Is this only between me and you?
Speaker 3
Yeah, I'm asking you the question.
Speaker 4
Yeah, I don't want it to go out though. I don't want any of the other players to see, but probably Benny Patton's my favourite.
Speaker 3
He is?
Speaker 4 03:32
But you can't tell anyone. Don't tell anyone.
Speaker 3 03:36
I'm not telling anyone mate, I just love that.
Speaker 4 03:38
Before I go I just want to say one thing, I want you to keep up all your good work in the coaches space... and keep helping others somebody told me at the club how hard you've been working and the good work that you do. It's a credit to you mate, and well done.
Speaker 3
Thanks mate.
Speaker 4
All right you, take care Corey!
